【摘要】:1.1Thispracticeisintendedforthestructuraldesignofcorrugatedaluminumpipeandpipe-arches,andaluminumstructuralplatepipe,pipe-arches,andarchesforuseasculvertsandstormsewersandotherburiedconduits.Thispracticeisforpipeinstalledinatrenchorembankmentandsubjectedtohighway,railroad,andaircraftloadings.Itmustberecognizedthataburiedcorrugatedaluminumpipeisacompositestructuremadeupofthealuminumringandthesoilenvelope,andbothelementsplayavitalpartinthestructuraldesignofthistypeofstructure.1.2Corrugatedaluminumpipeandpipe-archesshallbeofannularfabricationusingrivetedseams,orofhelicalfabricationhavingacontinuouslockseam.1.3Structuralplatepipe,pipe-arches,andarchesarefabricatedinseparateplatesthatwhenassembledatthejobsitebyboltingformtherequiredshape.1.4Thisspecificationisapplicabletodesignininch-poundunitsasSpecificationB790orinSIunitsasSpecificationB790M.Inch-poundunitsandSIunitsarenotnecessarilyequivalent.SIunitsareshowninbracketsinthetextforclarity,buttheyaretheapplicablevalueswhenthedesignisdoneinaccordancewithSpecificationB790M.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
