【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiestherequirementsforflamelessexplosionventingdevicesusedtoprotectenclosuresagainstthemajoreffectsofinternalexplosionsarisingfromtherapidburningofsuspendeddust,vapourorgascontainedwithin.Itincludestherequirementsforthedesign,inspection,testing,marking,documentation,andpackaging.Thisstandardisapplicabletoflamelessexplosionventingdeviceswhichareputonthemarketasautonomousprotectivesystems.Explosionventingdevicesareprotectivesystemscomprisedofapressuresensitivemembranefixedto,andformingpartof,thestructurethatitprotects.Theyaredesignedtointerveneintheeventofanexplosionatapredeterminedpressure,toimmediatelyopenaventareasufficienttoensurethatthemaximumpressureattainedbyanexplosionwithintheenclosuredoesnotexceedthemaximumpressurethestructureisdesignedtowithstand.Flamelessexplosionventingdevicestypicallyconsistofanexplosionventingdeviceincombinationwithaflamequenchingelementtoavoidthetransmissionofflamesintothesurroundings.Theyareusedtoallowexplosionventinginsituationswhereotherwisethehazardsofflamesandpressureresultingfromtheventingwouldharmpersonnelordamagestructures.TheapplicationandspecificationofexplosionventingdevicesisoutlinedfordustexplosionprotectioninEN14491andforgasexplosionprotectioninEN14994.ThisEuropeanStandardcoverstheflamelessexplosionventingofdust,vapourandgasexplosions.ThisEuropeanStandarddoesnotcoverdetailsfortheavoidanceofignitionsourcesfromdetectiondevicesorotherpartsoftheflamelessexplosionventingdevices.
