【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheminimumtemperatureatwhichvaporsinequilibriumwithaliquid(orsolid)chemicalwillbesufficientlyconcentratedtoformflammablemixturesinairatatmosphericpressure.Thistestmethodiswrittenspecificallyfordeterminationofthetemperaturelimitofflammabilityofsystemsusingairasthesourceofoxidantanddiluent.Itmayalsobeusedforotheroxidant/diluentcombinations,includingairplusdiluentmixtures;however,nooxidant/diluentcombinationstrongerthanairshouldbeused.Also,nounstablechemicalcapableofexplosivedecompositionreactionsshouldbetested(see8.3).1.2Thistestmethodisdesignedandwrittentoberunatlocalambientpressureandislimitedtoamaximuminitialpressureof1atmabs.Itmayalsobeusedforreducedpressureswiththepracticallowerpressurelimitbeingapproximately13.3kPa(100mmHg).Themaximumpracticaloperatingtemperatureofthisequipmentisapproximately150176;C(302176;F)(NoteA1.2).1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandardshouldbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,orassembliesinresponsetoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditions,andshouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthistestmaybeusedaselementsofafireriskassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorswhicharepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduse.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificsafetyprecautionsaregiveninSection8.
